Serves 1
Ingredients
- 1 cup Water
- ⅛ Yellow Onion (medium)
- ½ Garlic (clove, minced)
- ⅓ tsp Dried Parsley
- 0.06 tsp Sea Salt
- ¼ cup Brown Rice
Steps
Add the water, onion, garlic, parsley, and salt to a pot over medium-high heat. Bring the water to a boil and cook for three to five minutes or until the onion begins to soften and the water evaporates.
Add the rice and stir to combine with the onions.
Bring the rice to a boil then reduce the heat and cover. Cook for 40 to 45 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
Fluff the rice with a fork and season with additional salt if needed. Enjoy!
Tips
- Leftovers: Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to three days.
- More Flavor: Add other dried herbs like basil or chives.
- No Vegetable Broth: Use chicken broth instead.
